The Bus Employees Friendly Society was established in 1918 and for almost 100 years it has served bus company employees in and around London and the South East. It has given them peace of mind just when they needed it at times of sickness, bereavement and retirement.
There are currently around 450 members, all from the transport industry.
The Bus Employees Friendly Society is registered under the Friendly Societies Act 1974 (Registration No. 1132F) and is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority.
The Society is proud to be a member of the Association of Financial Mutuals (AFM), the trade body that represents the interests and uniqueness of financial mutual organisations of which friendly societies are a major part.
